Slash describes mother as musical influence

Rock musician Slash has paid tribute to his late mother, crediting her with exposing him to the music that has influenced him.
Writing on his MySpace blog, the Velvet Revolver and Guns 'N' Roses electric guitar player described Ola Hudson as a "rock junkie" like him.
"She was responsible for exposing me to a lot of the music that would influence me as a musician growing up," he commented.
Slash - whose most notable records include Paradise City and Sweet Child Of Mine - also called her a highly creative and talented individual.
This, he added, led to her educating him about the importance of artistic self-expression and communication through music.
Slash - whose real name is Saul Hudson - has become an iconic stage presence thanks to his top hat and GibsonLes Paulguitar.
His mother had a considerable rock pedigree herself, acting as a costume designer for luminaries including John Lennon and Diana Ross.
