Slash 'a massive fan of Gibson Les Pauls'
The Gibson Lifestyle blog took a look over some of Slash's interviews from the past few years and noted that he had recently told its website of his admiration for the musical instrument.
Slash explained that he finds the Les Paul to be a "very versatile guitar" that excels in whatever task it is put to.
"The weight of the guitar, the way the neck is, the humbuckers, all that stuff just appeals to me as a guitar player," he said.
"It really is the best all-around guitar for me."
Slash also told Classic Rock Magazine in 2008 that he had been inspired to learn the guitar by one of his school teachers who used a Les Paul guitar to play various Cream and Led Zeppelin songs.
The star is set to embark on a world tour in the early part of this year, starting with a series of dates taking place across the US.
He will then move on to play shows in Australia, Asia and South America during February, March and April.
