Posted on 13 Sep 2010 15:35 to category : Music News

Piano players Sir Elton John and Leon Russell are to perform together at the BBC Electric Proms next month.
The pair will open the event with a show at The Roundhouse in London on October 28th, which will be broadcast live on Radio 2.
Sir Elton and Russell will be playing tracks from their new studio album The Union, as well as hits from the knight's wide-ranging back catalogue.
Support will come from singer-songwriter Rumer and rapper and vocalist Plan B.
"I'm delighted to be kicking off this year's Radio 2 Electric Proms, particularly as I'll be joined on stage by Leon who is one of my musical heroes," said Sir Elton.
The gig will also be broadcast on television on October 30th as part of A Night In With Sir Elton John on BBC Two.
Last year's Electric Proms festival featured performances from the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Robbie Williams and Dame Shirley Bassey.
