Simon Cowell: Lady Gaga is boring
The X Factor powerhouse has took a massive swipe at some of the biggest female musicians in the world, who collectively have sold umpteen records.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the catty TV personality and music mogul, said: "If you only ever heard Lady Gaga, she's the most boring singer in the world.
"You've got to see her – you need TV. Same with Beyonce or Kate Perry. We're all about image. You have to have that X Factor."
The 51-year-old's comments are likely to stir controversy, especially given that some of the previous X Factor winners' careers have gone done the drain quick and fast.
Last year's winner, Matt Cardle, recently hit out at Cowell.
Annoyed that cheesy boyband One Direction were allowed to launch their music before him, he told the newspaper: "They're competition and it is [rubbish] they got to release before the winner of the actual show.
"It shouldn't have happened really. Simon's naughty."
Cowell is currently a judge on the US version of the X Factor.
