Sibelius 6 impresses in review
Posted on 8 Dec 2009 15:50 to category : Music News

If you know anything about score-writing with computer software, then the chances are that youve heard of Sibelius.
A new version of this infamous software unsurprisingly gets people talking, and this month Sound On Sound Magazine have been looking at the latest release, Sibelius 6.
As Sound On Sound Magazine's reviewer commented: "Sibelius 6 is an incredible update to a program that was already pretty incredible."
"Sibelius 6 once again raises the bar when it comes to notation software."
"Offering significant workflow enhancements, while refining other areas of the application, this version should please both new and existing users."
New features within Sibelius 6 include a version saving tool, which allows you to save (and reload at any time) different score edits of the same file.
In addition there is a magnetic layout tool, which helps you to keep your scores looking neat and tidy, and new built-in software instruments.
Combined with a multitude of smaller changes, Sibelius 6 is no minor upgrade from Sibelius 5, and should be recommended to new users of score-writing software and existing Sibelius users alike.
