Malcolm Allured, the man behind the drum kit in Showaddywaddy during the 1970s is passing on his knowledge of music to a new generation.
He has teamed up with fellow musician Nick Woolgar to start running group drumming lessons in Shipley Gate, Nottinghamshire.
Speaking to the Ilkeston Advertiser, Allured explained that young musicians would not just be getting technical tips on how to improve their performance on the drum kit.
"We don't just teach the kids drumming - we answer questions about our time touring in bands and supporting artists and teach them all different things about being in a band," he stated.
Earlier this week, Mapex Drums announced it is holding a free drumming workshop at the Northern School of Contemporary Music in Darlington.
The event is to take place on February 20th 2010 and tips will be given by Karl Brazil, who has worked behind the drum kit for Robbie Williams and Feeder in the past.
