Shakira to perform at EMAs
Shakira will perform at this year's MTV European Music Awards (EMAs).
The 'Hips Don't Lie' singer is one of the big names to take to the stage in Madrid on November 7, joining the Katy Perry, Kid Rock, Kings of Leon, Linkin Park, Kesha and host Eva Longoria Parker at the annual music awards.
Best Breakthrough nominee Plan B will also be performing and says it is a dream come true.
He said: "This will be my first time in Spain and at the MTV awards. Nothing reminds me more of how far I've come in the last six months than opportunities like this."
'Desperate Housewives' star Eva was announced as the show's host last week and said can't wait to meet Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, who are both nominated in five award categories and will battle it out with each other for Best Female, Best Pop and Best Song awards.
Eva, 35, said: "I'm beyond excited to host the 2010 EMAs. And getting to do it in the beautiful city of Madrid is the icing on the cake. I can't wait to see some fabulous performances and I absolutely love that the most nominated artists this year are two amazing women, who are making some of the most exciting music in pop right now!"
'I Kissed a Girl' singer Katy is set to perform a duet with rock band Linkin Park as a special performance for the show.
