Seal: My wife helps with my music
Singer and guitar player Seal has shared a few secrets about how he writes his songs.
Speaking to the Daily Express, the artist admitted that he can often try to be too clever when it comes to writing lyrics.
This, he said, would lead to his wife - supermodel Heidi Klum - telling him straight out that she cannot understand what he is trying to say.
"My wife is a good barometer for me," he commented.
"She's a hopeless romantic and just wants to hear something simple and clear like 'I love you'."
Seal said this is apparent on his latest album, as many of the best songs come with very simple lyrics.
He added that while the music business is going through major changes, he does not believe the traditional album format is dying out.
Indeed, he said that as long as artists keep writing good songs and performing them well, albums will keep selling.
Seal has so far released six studio albums during a career spanning 20 years, while his hits include Crazy, Prayer for the Dying, Get It Together and Killer.Posted on 13 Jan 2010 22:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
