Scouting For Girls 'schmucks'
Posted on 22 Mar 2010 07:00 to category : Music News

Scouting For Girls admit they are "normal schmucks".
The 'This Aint A Lovesongc hitmakers said they don't usually get recognised outside of their own shows, but feel lucky they don't have to deal with the pressure of celebrity.
The group's bassist Greg Churchouse told BANG showbiz: "I don't even think I'm famous. The way I see it is we're recognised when we're three of us together at our own shows. When we've got the people who are into the live shows, watch us on Scouting For Girls TV.
"Any other time I'm just some normal schmuck, y'know, we're very normal schmucks. We're quite lucky with the amount of success we've had to not be recognised."
The group - which also includes drummer Peter Ellard and pianist and vocalist Roy Stride - also say their anonymity is an advantage because it keep them in touch with their fans, and allows them to do normal things such as go to British hardware store B and Q.
Peter said: "We're not a band that goes out to parties, we're not a celebrity band. That's why people can relate to us, we are just guys who go down the pub and do normal things. I went down B and Q the other day."
The group's second album 'Everybody Wants To Be On TV' is released on April 12.
