Ryan Adams to team up with producer Glyn Johns for new album
Acoustic guitar player Ryan Adams is to work with legendary producer Glyn Johns on his next record.
Johns, who has previously aided The Rolling Stones and The Who in creating new music, will now help Adams with the follow-up to the singer/songwriter's 2008 album Cardinology, reports Billboard.
The solo star is also set to head out on a live tour around Europe later this year.
Adams will take to the road in June, starting a 12-date run with a show in Stockholm on the 10th of that month.
Further gigs are planned in Oslo, Malmo, Copenhagen, Lisbon and Porto before the guitarist reaches London for a show at the Barbican on June 20th.
He will go on to perform in Manchester, Glasgow and Oxford before returning to continental Europe for a final gig in Amsterdam on June 28th.
Adams announced details of the tour earlier this week via his Facebook page.
"I wrote some new tunes this winter on my acoustic guitar. I think I'd like to play them for whoever wants to hear them," he said.
The presale period for tickets to the live shows started yesterday (March 16th).
