Posted on 2 Apr 2010 11:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar legend Ronnie Wood is to host his own radio show, it has been announced.
The Rolling Stones star will have a weekly slot on Absolute Radio, playing his favourite songs from down the years.
Listeners have also been promised that Wood will take his guitar into the studio for some exclusive performances as part of the show.
Tony Moorey, content director for Absolute Radio, explained what the programme will be about.
"Think fantastic music and one man and his guitar in your living room, but that man being one of rock's gods, Ronnie Wood," he stated.
The first show will be broadcast on Absolute Classic Rock on April 9th 2010, with a repeat airing on Absolute the following day.
Last month, a Fender Squire guitar signed by all of the members of The Rolling Stones was auctioned off to help raise funds for an orphanage in Haiti, reported the Mayo News.
