Ronnie Wood gets his own TV show
The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Woods is to launch his on TV show, highlighting the fact that the days when a musician was just that and nothing else have long passed into history.
With musicians propping up side projects like fashion lines, restaurant chains and acting jobs, it is a wonder they have any time left over to make the music they are famous for.
The Ronnie Wood Show is set to launch on Sky Arts next February and will be in the spirit of his Absolute Radio show, which has been a huge success.
That success has translated into industry recognition and the legendary Stones' rocker received Music Personality of the Year award at the Sony Radio Academy Awards earlier this year.
Speaking to reporters, Wood said: "I've had so much fun doing my radio show and had lots of success with recent awards. It's now going to TV to give the audience the chance to see behind the scenes."
It is hoped that Wood's will attract some of the biggest stars of the entertainment business to the show for general chat show tittle-tattle.
