Rolling Stones 'are not playing Glastonbury'
Posted on 6 Jan 2010 18:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

The Rolling Stones have revealed they will not be headlining the Glastonbury Festival this year.
Rumours that the veteran band would treat revellers to their legendary guitar riffs and licks have been circulating for several months.
However, a spokesman for the group told NME that the band are not planning to tour at all during 2010.
Glastonbury has attracted a number of established rockers in recent years, including Fender Telecaster players Bruce Springsteen and Status Quo.
Irish band U2 have already been named on the bill for 2010, while Dizzee Rascal is also expected to put in an appearance.
Emily Eavis, co-organiser of the festival, this week told BBC 6 Music: "There will be a lot of surprises more than we've ever had."
She added that former Pop Idol star Will Young could be among the big names performing this year.
Other names rumoured to appear at Glastonbury this summer include Bob Dylan and Robert Plant.
