Roland launches new drum kits

The V-Drums V-Compact Series TD-4KX is a full mesh head kit, which Roland claims will come with an affordable price tag when it is launched later this month.
Designed to give the same feel as an acoustic drum kit, it comes with high-toms, snare drum and floor tom, as well as a TD-4 percussion sound module and MDS-4 drum stand.
A second Roland electronic drum kit is also scheduled for release in September 2009 - the V-Drums V-Pro Series TD-20KX.
Aimed more at the professional end of the market, the manufacturer said "it provides the best and most natural playing experience available from Roland’s storied V-Drums line".
It comes with a different look from the rest of the V-Pro Series, complete with brushed metal pads, silver coloured cymbals and a chrome drum rack.
However, the drum kit's main attraction is likely to be the TD-20KX percussion sound module, which has new compression algorithms, ambience choices and sound rhythms.
