Roland TR-808 Championed by 808 State's Graham Massey on the BBC

The TR-808 has influenced genres varying from Soul to Hip Hop to House and Electro.
Massey named his band after the iconic piece of kit, and the 808 has had songs written that namecheck the drum machine, over three decades after it was first released.

As well as the new TR-8 Rhythm Performer, an evolved version of the TR-808 and TR-909 combined featuring Analog Circuit Behaviour technology, the AIRA series features the TB-3 Touch Bassline, VT-3 Voice Transformer for robotic and synth voices, and the SYSTEM-1 PLUG-OUT Synthesizer.
