Roland SPD-SX Sampling Pad Launched

Roland SPD-SX Sampling Pad Launched
SPD-SX offers multi pad percussion and sampling
The SPD-SX Sampling Pad has just been announced by leading music equipment manufacturer Roland, an upgrade to it's world-leading SPD-S Pad. Offering multi-pad percussion, the Roland SPD-SX has 2GB of CD-quality onboard stereo sampling memory and three powerful effects engines. Samples can be captured with either the stereo mic/line input or imported through USB. The SPD-SX features new multi-pad sampling, allowing easy capturing, truncating and assigning of samples to pads by simply striking the pads at the correct point. The nine integrated trigger pads, six large and three edge, can access any of the factory pre-loaded wave data or user samples. Roland claim the pads are the ultimate in dynamic sensitivity, offering some of the most accurate triggering available. The addition of two dual-trigger inputs means the SPD-SX can be expanded with external pads and acoustic drum triggers. With one master effects unit and two units assignable per kit, the SPD-SX really allows you to tailor your sound. Bundled with the SPD-SX is Wave Manager software, allowing for quick and easy management and transfer of files from computer to the unit. With other features including a large display interface, dual stereo outs, a headphone jack, assignable click output and MIDI I/O the SPD-SX is going to cause a lot of excitement when it's released in October.
