Roland's brand new SPD::ONE pads welcome a new and exciting era for electronic percussion. Consisting of the SPD:: SPD::ONE ELECTRO ,SPD::ONE KICK , SPD::ONE PERCUSSION and SPD::ONE WAV , the brand new line-up delivers an exciting selection of percussive options designed to animate your performance.

Based on the premise of practicality, Roland's percussion pads offer players a straightforward and functional method of adding electronic sounds and samples to your music. With a less is more approach, Roland has eliminated the need for any complicated on-screen menus whilst you adjust your parameters. Thanks to a selection of relatively simple front panels you can make all alterations via the allocated control knobs on the fly.

Allowing the player to import their favourite sounds into 12 internal sound banks, the SPD::ONE range caters to those players looking to enhance their performance with an array of exciting textures and tones. Import chosen your tones via USB and modify them to your preference with the pad's simple adjustment knobs. The SPD::ONE ELECTRO, KICK and PERCUSSION can load WAV audio files up to five seconds in length; anything longer can be left to the mighty SPD:ONE WAV Pad, which is capable of handling a whopping 4 GB of WAV audio. Each featuring 22 iconic sounds that range from hand claps to cowbells, the SPD:ONE range are well equipped to handle any musical scenario.

The SPD::ONE range was designed with the modern performer in mind and as a result find themselves comfortable across a variety of different styles and uses. Able to respond to your stick, hands or feet, the pad expresses complete versatility in a live environment, giving players the opportunity to play without compromising their individual style.

Professional grade performances demand consistency. As such the pad's sensitivity can be suitably altered to match your own requirements. With predetermined sensitivity parameters, you can rest assured knowing that every hit will result in the same faultless expression and clarity. With a simple layout the SPD:ONE pads can be used by complete novices and seasoned professionals alike. With only four knobs on the control panel you can alter the sound, volume and balance with ease, allowing those who are unfamiliar with drum pads can operate the device incomplete .

Drummers can attach the pads to tom arms thanks to the pads' ability to accommodate brackets on either side of its body. The SDP::ONE pads find themselves useful in a variety of different musical contexts. Not limited to percussionists, these pads can be used by guitarists, singer/songwriters, vocalists and much more. Expressing complete versatility for the modern performer, the pad can be powered by batteries or AC and can be integrated into almost any set-up. Because the pads can be battery powered the only cable involved in their set up is an output cable sent to the PA and or phones/mixer. With an inbuilt USB-MIDI support, the SPD::ONE ELECTRO can also act as a compact digital pad controller compatible with any studio-grade DAW.

The first of 14 products planned to be released during the May and June, the SPD::ONE pads are a promising beginning to one of the summer's hottest product launches.
