Roger Waters planning 30th anniversary tour of The Wall
Electric guitar player Roger Waters has announced plans for a 30th anniversary tour of Pink Floyd's The Wall.
The band conducted several famous gigs based around the album, which features tracks such as Comfortably Numb and Another Brick in the Wall Part 2.
Their lavish live shows, which involved the construction of an actual wall on stage during each performance, went down in history and now Waters, who was the bass guitarist and principal songwriter in the band, has decided to recreate the experience in an updated show.
No European and UK dates have been announced as of yet, with the 35-show tour due to begin in Toronto on September 15th 2010.
The electric guitar player will then travel through Canada and the US, before finishing in Anaheim on December 13th.
Last month, Metallica's manager Peter Mensch told Classic Rock magazine that his band is planning an ambitious series of concerts in 2011 that will rival Pink Floyd's initial tour of The Wall in terms of their scope and extravagance.Posted on 13 Apr 2010 12:43 to category : Band / Celebrity News
