Rodrigo y Gabriela set for London residency
Posted on 20 Jan 2010 11:10 to category : Instruments News

Acoustic guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced details of a series of gigs in London later this year.
The pair, who hail from Mexico, are to play a five night residency at the Shepherds Bush Empire between November 2nd and 7th 2010.
Rodrigo y Gabriela have already sold out the venue, which holds up to 10,000 people, three times in the past.
The duo will be performing songs from their most recent album 11:11, which was released last year.
Rodrigo y Gabriela have recently helped to design two new acoustic guitars for Yamaha.
Dennis Webster, marketing manager for YamahaGuitars, said the collaboration had led to the design of acoustic guitars that combine a tradition feel with an updated look and a "pure amplified sound".
"The result of the combination of look, feel and sound is that the two hottest nylon string players on the planet are exclusively playing these new guitars," he added.
