Rod Stewart backs charity busking campaign
Posted on 20 Apr 2009 16:03 to category : Band / Celebrity News
Rod Stewart has lent his backing to a busking campaign set up to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

"It's what music is all about; just getting out there and singing or playing for the sheer joy of it," he remarked.
Stewart explained that he started his career busking on the streets of Paris back in the 1960s.
He then went on to have a string of number one singles and albums in the UK and US from 1971 onwards.
Stewart agreed to join the Busking Cancer campaign in March, joining Sandi Thom and Suggs from Madness, who signed up in August 2008.
Busking Cancer was set up in 2007 and was launched as a nationwide event the following year due to its success.
