Rock legends join Wogan at Abbey Road
The pair were joined by Nick Mason of Pink Floyd, who plays the drum kit on the new track - a cover of The Beatles' All You Need Is Love.
Speaking to BBC News, the drummer said he was very flattered to be asked to take part in the recording of the single, which will be released to raise money for the Children In Need appeal.
Mason is no stranger to working at Abbey Road, as this was where some of Pink Floyd's earliest records were made, including The Piper at the Gates of Dawn album.
The recording session coincided with the news that Sir Terry is standing down from his long-running breakfast show on BBC Radio 2.
"Everybody has to stop sometime, but we'll still see him around," Wyman commented.Posted on 8 Sep 2009 14:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
