Robert Plant: I'll record with fiddle player Alison Krauss again
Fiddle player Alison Krauss is set to work with Robert Plant again.
The pair released the critically-acclaimed folk-rock album Raising Sand in 2007, earning a Grammy in the US and Mercury Prize nomination in the UK.
Speaking to the Arkansas Times, the Led Zeppelin singer said "there'll be another Plant and Krauss record out, I guess".
He added that he has numerous other collaborations in the pipeline, explaining that it is the only way he can keep his music fresh.
"To be a singer and just to repeat everything that he is and has been, I'd be a hell of a one trick pony, so I can't do that," Plant explained.
Before working with Krauss again, the singer is collaborating with another group of musicians in his new group Band of Joy.
Guitar player Buddy Miller, bassist Byron House and singer-songwriter Patty Griffin are in the line-up, which is set to tour the US in support of an album release later this year.Posted on 13 Jul 2010 16:10 to category : Band / Celebrity News
