Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and Coldplay lead Grammy winners

At last night's Grammys, British superstars Coldplay led the way, winning three awards.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss went away with the big prize of album of the year, for their work on Raising Sand, as well as five other prizes, including record of the year with Please Read the Letter. Plant commented, "in the old days we would have called this selling out. But it's a good way to spend a Sunday".
Coldplay received some top accolades, including song of the year for Viva La Vida, with the track also winning performance of the year. Their latest album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, won best rock album.
Another British act, Adele, was awarded best new artist and best pop vocal performance for her song Chasing Pavements.
Radiohead won a total of two awards - best alternative album for In Rainbows and best boxed set for the special edition release of the same album.
Performers last night included Radiohead, who played with a marching band, U2, Sir Paul McCartney with Dave Grohl, and M.I.A.
Other winners included Lil Wayne, who was nominated for eight awards, taking home four.
