Actor Robert Pattinson is keen to swap a film script for an electric guitar and perform live.
The star of the Twilight movies described himself as a "frustrated rock star" who would like to play on stage.
However, he told the Daily Telegraph that he does not consider himself a highly proficient guitar player and would need to practise before playing a gig.
"I never manage more than five chords," Pattinson commented.
"I have to work on that."
Pattinson added that he is more interested in performing live than in recording a studio album.
But the 23-year-old actor acknowledged that releasing a record could be necessary in order to do some gigs.
If Pattinson does achieve his goal of moving into the music scene, he would be following in the footsteps of other actors such as Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia and Nick Berry, as well as William Shatner and Robson and Jerome.
