Robbie Williams' drummer uses Roland TD-20K
Posted on 27th Nov 2009 12:31 to category Instruments News
Robbie Williams has been making a huge comeback in recent months. An important gig of late was at the Roundhouse in London - as part of the highly regarded BBC Electric Proms 2009.
When it comes to Robbie's backing band of professional session musicians, only the best musical equipment will do.
For the drums on this performance, after the decision was made to use an electronic drum kit, Roland's TD-20KX V-Drums soon proved to be the right kit for the gig.
Session drummer Karl Brazil was the man behind the TD-20KX and commented that, "I had to get to know the TD-20KX pretty quick - lucky for me it was very easy to get to grips with.
"Editing and programming is a simple process and you can get almost any sound you can think of out of it."
Karl praised the high quality of the sounds within the kit, and said that they would work "for any drummer or percussionist on any level".
"Sensitivity, effects, mic positions and even drum heads have all been catered for. Roland will have a tough job trying to top this one."
Available either on its own, or within a complete drum pack, if you're looking for a high-end electronic drum kit used by the pros, then look no further than the Roland TD-20KX.
