Ring Starr: No autobiography from me
Posted on 1 Feb 2012 20:19 to category : Instruments News

The drummer, who has just released a new studio album, was speaking to TV presenter turned actor Russell Brand during a live radio interview in the Los Angeles when he made the astonishing revelation.
"I've been asked to write an autobiography of myself, but they really only want those eight years... And I say, 'But there are 10 volumes before we get to that, and 20 afterwards.'"
The interview was full of laughs as Starr and Brand exchanged witty banter, reminiscing about the past and looking ahead positively to the future.
When asked where his unique drumming style had come from, the Fab Four legend responded by saying that it stemmed from being left handed.
He also spoke of how his attitude to the digital age of music has changed.
"I love the modern technology now," he said. "I was a little opposed to it – Oh, in my day, we used to have a donkey turning the wheel, and two guys chewing tape to make it soft.'"
