Rihanna could be set on taking a year-long hiatus from the music industry, reports have suggested.

US TV personality Ryan Seacrest made the claim on his morning radio show across the Atlantic and suggested that the singer wanted to calm things down once her Diamonds world tour comes to a close, MTV reports.

"[Rihanna's] been in this go mode for a while. Seven hit records in seven years. Sold-out tours, but sources say after this tour wraps, she plans to take up to a year off to unwind," Seacrest told his listeners.

The Caribbean pop star is currently in the midst of the world tour and heads to Baltimore's 1st Mariner Arena on March 12th. She is touring the US and Canada for the next two months before moving on to Europe.

Rihanna hits UK shores on June 10th for a number of huge shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Birmingham and Sunderland.

The singer recently embarked on the 777 tour which saw her play seven shows in seven different countries over seven days. The event kicked off in Mexico City before moving on to Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and New York City.
