Richie Sambora names Gibson Les Paul as favourite guitar

Bon Jovi star Richie Sambora has revealed that his 1959 Gibson Les Paul is his favourite electric guitar.
Speaking to the Metro, the musician said that while he is not prone to extravagant purchases, he has bought a lot of guitars.
He flagged up his 1959 Gibson Les Paul as the pride of his collection, although he said he has not spent a fortune on his instruments, as he trades lots of them in.
Sambora added that as soon as he was able to afford his very first Les Paul, he quit his job as a hospital cleaner to pursue a career in music.
"That enabled me to play clubs with a band as a professional guitarist," he commented.
Bon Jovi, who are best known for hits such as Livin' on a Prayer, It's My Life and Keep the Faith, have just released their new album The Circle.
The band will be promoting the record with a world tour next year, which includes a residency at the O2 Arena in London.
