The Red Hot Chili Peppers have upped the marketing game with promotion of their new studio album by enlisting the help of a renowned street artist.

It comes on the back of the band releasing a picture of the front cover their album I'm With You, which was designed by the contemporary British artist Damien Hirst.

According to TMZ, Mr Brainwash is to knock up a series of artworks all around Los Angeles ahead of the album release, which is coming out on August 30th.

The artist first made his name when he starred in the documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop, which was about his British counterpart, the famous Banksy.
