Rare Jimi Hendrix tracks to be released
Posted on 14 Sep 2010 17:39 to category : Music News

A box set of rare and unreleased music recorded by electric guitar legend Jimi Hendrix is to be released later this year.
Four CDs and a 90-minute DVD documentary are to be included in the collection, which is being called West Coast Seattle Boy - The Jimi Hendrix Anthology.
The box set is to come out on November 15th 2010 and will feature 45 unreleased live and studio recordings, reports NME.
Alternative versions and demos of songs from his studio albums make up a large portion of the collection, which also includes the electric guitar player's singles with the likes of Little Richard, Don Covay and The Isley Brothers.
Last month, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy revealed that he had been inspired to pick up a guitar after watching Hendrix play at the Monterey Pop Festival on TV.
Bellamy said he was drawn in by the freedom and expression with which Hendrix played his musical instrument.
