Rage Against The Machine have announced the details of their free "victory" concert in London.
The heavy metal group promised fans if they beat reality TV show winner Joe McElderry to the Christmas Number one slot in the UK last year - in response to a facebook campaign started by a fan - they would play a free concert for fans.
'The Rage Factor' concert date and venue have now been confirmed as June 6 at London's Finsbury Park. Tickets for the show will be allocated by ballot. Proceeds from the single, which was originally released in 1994, were donated to homeless charities.
Guitarist from the and Tom Morello said: "It's going to be the victory celebration to end all victory celebrations.
A historic grassroots rebellion made our song 'Killing in the Name' the number one Christmas single of 2009.
"The people of the UK toppled the X Factor giant, raised a great deal of money for homeless charities, and shocked the world. As a thank you to our UK fans and freedom fighters we promised to play a free show. Well... here we come... The celebration/party/revolution is ON (sic)."
The group scored the number one after campaign started by disgruntled fans Jon and Tracy Morter, who nominated the track after they didn't want to see the winner of TV show 'The X Factor' claim the Christmas number one spot, as they had in the previous four years.
The race to the top spot became one of the most hotly contested of the deacde, with Rage Against The Machine eventually outselling Joe's cover of Miley Cyrus song 'The Climb' by 50,000 downloads.
