Radiohead release The King of Limbs one day early
Radiohead have brought forward the release of new album The Kings of Limbs to today (February 18th).
The electric guitar band had announced earlier this week that it would be available in a digital format from Saturday, but a statement from XL Records has revealed this has been pushed forward by 24 hours, reports the Guardian.
"With everything ready on their website, the band decided to bring forward the release by a day rather than wait until the planned date of Saturday February 19 to deliver the music," said the company.
Radiohead have also posted a video for new song Lotus Flower on their official website, with the black and white Garth Jennings-directed promo featuring lead singer Thom Yorke dancing alone.
In addition to the digital release of The King of Limbs, the electric guitar band are offering fans the opportunity to pre-order a special 'newspaper album' edition of the record.
This is comprised of the chance to access the digital download, a CD, two clear ten-inch vinyl records in a purpose-built sleeve and "many large sheets of newspaper artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork and a full-colour piece of oxo-degradable plastic to hold it all together".
