Radiohead explain lack of press for new album
When The King of Limbs was released, which has been critically-acclaimed, no press, tweets, blogs, virals or interviews accompanied it.
Much to the dismay of the music industry and journalists alike, who naturally wanted to dig deeper into the complicated mind of one of Britain's most successful bands, Radiohead simply let the music do the talking.
In an interview with NPR, frontman Tom Yorke said they didn't feel obliged to do any press as "we didn't want to explain it".
His bandmate Ed O'Brien added: "We didn't feel like it."
Radiohead recently gave their support to the ongoing Occupy Wall Street demonstration, which sprang up in September in protest against economic inequality and corporate greed.
Speaking to NME, Colin Greenwood, the band's bass player, said: "Are we sympathetic to the protestors' cause? Of course. I understand people feeling frustrated with Wall Street."
