Radiohead drummer goes solo
Posted on 3 Jun 2010 15:22 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Radiohead star Phil Selway is stepping out from behind his drum kit to release his debut solo album.
Familial will be released later this year and finds the drummer showcasing his own compositions and singing the lead vocals.
The record will hit the shelves in August and has been produced by Ian Davenport.
Other contributors include Sebastian Steinberg, the ex-bass guitar player in Soul Coughing, and Glenn Kotche of Wilco fame.
Lisa Germano and Patrick Sansone have also taken part in the recording, which looks set to lean more heavily towards electronic music than Radiohead's usual style.
According to Clash Music, Familial is an intimate and revealing album which presents Selway in a manner that has never been seen before.
Radiohead first rose to prominence in the mid-1990s, notching up hits such as Paranoid Android, Karma Police and No Surprises.
The band have continued to enjoy success in the 21st century, with recent hit singles including Jigsaw Falling Into Place and Nude.
