Radio 2 Live to feature Tom Jones
In the northern city of Sheffield, for example, the Tramlines music festival took place successfully over the weekend.
And come September, Radio 2 Live is due to take place at Hyde Park – with the Green Green Grass of Home crooner Tom Jones recently revealed by Radio 2 to be taking to the stage.
"We are thrilled that Tom Jones is going to be joining us in Hyde Park on September 9. The concert will be a fantastic musical celebration and it promises to be an event to remember," said Radio 2's Jeff Smith in a BBC statement about Jones' presence.
Other people performing at Radio 2 Live are Status Quo, and Mick Hucknall, among others.
Jones recently appeared on The Voice as a coach, alongside Jessie J (who is going to be at Radio 2 Live, too), Will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue.
