Zane Lowe himself gave word of all this via the airwaves and will be presenting the programmes on which these performances will be broadcast alongside Daniel P Carter.

Mr Carter declared himself “super excited” when it came to the event this is part of, which has been dubbed Radio 1 Rocks.

“It's going to be a great way to showcase some truly awesome music from UK and international bands highlighting this truly vibrant and exciting genre,” he said.

Radio 1 Rocks will take place between the 22nd and 25th of this month, with the bands' gigs open to the public, who can register for tickets online until next Tuesday (October 16th).
