REM to reissue Fables of the Reconstruction
Indie stars REM are to rerelease Fables of the Reconstruction to mark the 25th anniversary of the record.
The remastered album, which was originally recorded in London, is to come out with 14 demo recordings, as well as new liner notes from electric guitar player Peter Buck.
Buck told the REM website that he has a real affection for Fables of the Reconstruction.
"It's a personal favourite and I'm really proud of how strange it is," he said.
"Nobody but REM could have made that record."
It is set to come out on July 13th 2010, one day after Buck's side-project Tired Pony bring out their debut album.
The guitar player teamed up with Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol to form the group, who are to bring out a record entitled The Places That We Run From.
Earlier this month, Lightbody told BBC 6 Music the band have been inspired by the likes of Wilco and Lampchop.Posted on 21 May 2010 16:35 to category : Band / Celebrity News
