Queens of the Stone Age have been announced as headliners for the Open'er Festival in Poland next year.

The band will be joined by Blur who have also been named as bill-toppers at the four-day event which kicks off on July 4th 2013, with a host of other acts still to be announced on the line-up.

Queens of the Stone Age already have a busy summer ahead of them with appearances at Download Festival, Pinkpop in the Netherlands and Hurricane Festival in Germany among a plethora of dates already announced.

Open'er has been running since 2002 and has had a long-list of stellar names grace its stage with the likes of Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand and Pearl Jam all playing in the past and following this latest announcement 2013's event at Gdynia-Kosakowo Airfield in Gdynia looks set to impress once again.

Queens of the Stone Age recently announced that they would be teaming up with Foo Fighters' front man Dave Grohl who is set to play drums on the band's upcoming album.

It is the first time the two have been reunited since Grohl was behind the kit for the 2002 record Songs For The Deaf.
