Queens of the Stone Age deny March 2013 album release date
Following reports by FACT Magazine that the follow-up to 2007's Era Vulgaris would be unveiled in the spring, NME contacted the band's management who have denied these rumours, making fans wait just a little longer to hear new material.
Queens of the Stone Age's team said that they had not heard anything in terms of the this proposed release and did not have any knowledge of the image which stated that the album would be coming out in March 2013.
The new record signifies the reunion of Queens of the Stone Age with former drummer and Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl who will be sat behind the kit for the first time since the release of 2002's iconic Songs For The Deaf.
The band are bracing themselves for a busy 2013 after already being announced as playing at a host of major European festivals including Sziget Festival in Hungary and FIB Benicàssim in Spain, with the latter being alongside bands such as The Killers.
