QSC Introduce their next generation K.2 Series Loudspeakers

QSC have introduced the latest series to their line of products- the K.2 Series. An inspired reinterpretation of their critically acclaimed K Series powered loudspeakers, the K.2 Series feature an 8-inch K8.2, 10-inch K10.2 and 12-inch K12.2 full-range loudspeakers.

Ushering in a previously unattainable degree of quality within the world of powerspeakers , the K.2 Series entertain an audio standard that sees them as the proverbial torchbearer within in the live sound industry. In addition to the K.2 series, QSC are also introducing the KS212C, a next generation, single-box powered cardioid subwoofer that promises to deliver stunning and transparent quality.

The range of loudspeakers featured within the brand new K.2 series are each to house a 2000-watt power module, individually configured to match high-performance woofers and compression drivers. In order to maintain their formidable range of sound coverage, the K.2 series speakers feature DTM (Directivity-Matched-Transition), which intrinsically works to match audio quality across the board. For even further audio enhancement, the K-Series feature DSP, a system that further optimizes your audio output by monitoring and then altering specific parameters that best suit your current environment.

The K.2 series models also feature various presets that find themselves ideally suited to a range of common musical situations such as Stage Monitor, Dance Music, Musical Instrument Amplification, Hand-held Microphone and many more. Users can also recall any settings that they favour through customisable user configuration parameters including: EQ, delay, input type and cross-over. Every one of the three models can function as either a main PA or floor monitor, allowing for a unique and varied application; a welcome characteristic within the ever unpredictable world of sound-engineering. Not content to rest on its laurels, the K.2 series throws even more functionality into the mix, including the the ability to be flown, wall/truss-mounted or situated on a speaker pole (straight-firing or with a 7.5 degree down-tilt utilizing the new dual pole cup.)

The perfect partnership for the K.2 loudspeaker range, the KS212C Subwoofer showcases a jump in technology, providing a all the benefits associated with cardioid subwoofer array in a compact and confined package. Able to manage low frequencies on the stage with ease, the KS212C utilises a 12-inch long-excursion drivers arranged in a 6th order bandpass chamber, which is then powered by a 3,600 Watt amplifier to detect and appropriate the relevant frequencies to enhance your audio's sound.
