Pulp performed a triumphant set to close London's Wireless festival last night (03.07.11).

The legendary Britpop group - who are playing their first shows since originally splitting in 2002 - closed the three day festival in London's Hyde Park in front of a huge crowd, but cast doubt over their long-term future.

Closing the show with 1995 hit 'Common People' while paper snowflakes were shot over the crowd out of a cannon, frontman Jarvis Cocker said: "Christmas just came early. See you all again... in about fifteen years probably."

Kicking off with 'Do You Remember The First Time', and asking "Is everyone in?", the singer interacted with the crowd throughout the set - which included hits 'Babies', 'Disco 2000' and 'This Is Hardcore' telling stories about his youth, changing the words of 'Sorted for Es and Whiz' to include the line "Somewhere in a field in central London", and rallying against cuts in government funding.

The band attracted a star-studded crowd to the festival, watched by the likes of The Libertines frontman Carl Barat, actress-turned-designer Sadie Frost - who appeared in the video for the group's biggest hit 'Common People' - Alexa Chung and Kelly Osbourne.

Speaking in the Barclaycard Unwind area before the group took to the stage, Kelly told BANG Showbiz: "Am I looking forward to seeing Pulp? Very much so."

Other artists on the bill yesterday included Grace Jones - who showcased multiple headwear changes during her set - The Horrors, and The Pretty Reckless.

Meanwhile, Pulp have also confirmed they will perform at London's Brixton Academy on August 31, following their appearance at the Reading and Leeds festivals earlier in the week.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday (08.07.11).

Pulp's Wireless festival setlist:

'Do You Remember The First Time?'

'Pink Glove'

'Mile End'

'Something Changed'

'Disco 2000'

'Sorted For E's And Whizz'

'I Spy'
