Pulp and Kings of Leon set for Isle of Wight Festival
The Isle of Wight Festival has announced Pulp and the Kings of Leon as two of the headline acts for its 2011 event.
Electric guitar band Kings of Leon have been selected to headline the Friday night of the festival (June 10th), while recently-reformed indie act Pulp will play on the Saturday night.
Details of Sunday's headliner have yet to be released, with tickets for the bash going on sale this Friday (November 19th).
Festival promoter Steve Giddings said he was especially delighted at the booking of Pulp.
"When I heard they were reforming, I had to get them - they are the soundtrack of a generation," he said.
This year's Isle of Wight Festival also attracted a host of stars, with organisers managing to bring Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, rapper Jay-Z and electric guitar band The Strokes to the event.
Blondie, Pink, Orbital and Biffy Clyro also performed at the 2010 show.
