Proms 3D on its way!
Posted on 4 Jul 2012 12:38 to category : Music News

BBC HD is set to show the music instrument filled Royal Albert Hall event in a 3D incarnation on September 8th.
Its broadcast will involve several special cameras – one of which will actually be placed in amongst the music instruments of the orchestra.
The occasion has never been beamed to the nation's TV screens in 3D before.
The Proms themselves will kick off on July 13th, with a First Night featuring works by the likes of Elgar and Mark-Anthony Turnage, according to the event's website.
Films that are currently – or will soon be - showing in 3D on the nation's cinema screens include The Amazing Spider-Man, Men in Black 3 – starring Will Smith - and pop Star Katy Perry's film, Part of Me.
