Professor Green wants to get back in touch with Mike Skinner
The Hackney-born rapper, who has become a household name last year with his hits I Need You Tonight and Just Be Good to Green, used to be signed to Skinner's record label The Beats.
They had even worked on a record together but went their separate ways when things didn't work out musically and because Green wasn't in a right place.
That's not to say they didn't have a good relationship, he explained: "I always liked Mike. He was always different, but he's an artist and artists do tend to have their quirks and their own ways.
"But it'd be nice to hear from him, I thought we were mates. We've never so much as argued, so it would be nice to know if he's all right, really, and what's going on with him."
Skinner is actually busy in the studio with a new project called DOT, which has paired the spoken-word rapper with The Music's Rob Harvey.
Green has a new studio album out called Inconvenience.
