Professor Green tells of stab horror
Posted on 20 Oct 2010 09:45 to category : Music News

Professor Green thought he was going to die after being stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle.
The 'I Need You Tonight' rapper appeared in London's Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday (19.10.10), where he gave evidence against Anthony Jones, who stands accused of attacking the rapper after an altercation in a nightclub last year, which left the musician with a six-inch wound in his neck.
Professor Green - real name Stephen Manderson - was near-tears as he told the jury he was so fearful he was going to die, he telephoned his mother and grandmother to say "goodbye".
He said: "I was scared. I know what happens when people tend to get cut in the neck. I was extremely lucky, nothing lasting, fortunately."
Jones is alleged to have attacked the musician after accusing him of knocking into a friend at the Cargo club in Shoreditch, east London.
The rapper said: "All I saw was a hand come up to my face and neck. It was his right hand. There was a very warm feeling in my neck. I put my hand up and there was blood everywhere."
Stephen - who has a tattoo on his neck reading 'Lucky' - claims the alleged attacker screamed "You're f***ing dead", before walking away.
Jones, from Finsbury Park, north London, denies wounding with intent.
The trial continues.
