Proclaimers app gives fans chance to learn songs on guitar
Posted on 12 Jul 2010 20:00 to category : Instruments News

Guitar players who are fans of Scottish band The Proclaimers have the chance to learn how to play their songs via a new iPhone application.
The iProclaimers app - which costs £0.59 to purchase - reveals the chords for five of their hit songs, including I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) and Letter to America, reports TechWatch.
It also gives users news on forthcoming shows by the band, as well as offering clips of the duo performing live, while there is a lyrics guide for anyone who wants to sing along.
Guitar lovers can also take advantage of another iPhone app, this time from instrument manufacturer Gibson.
The free download contains a metronome, as well as a guitar tuning feature and more than 30 chord charts.
In March, the app reached the top of Apple's chart in the category of free music downloads, with more than 100,000 putting it on to their phones.
