Prince 'signed up to headline Glastonbury'
Electric guitar star Prince has signed on the dotted line to headline Glastonbury Festival 2011, it has been reported.
According to the Sun, the musician has agreed to appear at the bash, with Irish rockers U2 also set to play at the event.
Negotiations are ongoing to secure Coldplay as the final headline act, the newspaper claimed.
A source said festival organiser Michael Eavis is "over the moon" at the way the line-up is starting to look and is especially delighted about the addition of Prince.
"He is a huge fan of Prince and has been trying to nab him for years," said the insider.
"The fact it's been tied up so quickly is a big but welcome shock."
U2 were originally due to appear at this year's festival, but those plans were cancelled after Bono suffered a back injury and the electric guitar band had to pull out.
They were replaced by Gorillaz, who joined Stevie Wonder and Muse at the top of the 2010 bill.
