Plan B's role model status
Plan B has become a reluctant "role model" since he scored a number one record.
The British rapper and singer - whose second album 'The Defamation of Strickland Banks' shot straight to number one in the UK album chart when it was released in April - revealed he thinks if he becomes too "responsible" his music will suffer.
Speaking to British magazine FHM, he explained: "It's funny because I wasn't a role model until I got a number one record. Before that I was just a raw artist trying to do something different.
"You're expected to be really responsible as soon as you get a number one record, but I think the music suffers."
The chart-topper admitted his new album 'The Ballad of Belmarsh' - which he will be releasing himself after his record company decided it wasn't to their taste - will mark a return to the "dark" themes of his debut record 'Who Needs Action When You Got Words'.
He told FHM: "'The Ballad of Belmarsh' is very underground and dark. Off the back of this album I think it will do better than my first record did, but I'm making it clear in interviews it's a very adult project, it's not for kids.
