Plan B wants to act and sing
Posted on 19 Apr 2010 10:00 to category : Music News

Plan B wants to build on his music success by making a film with Guy Ritchie.
The rapper - whose second album 'The Defamation of Strickland Banks' has gone straight to number one in the UK album chart - is keen to add to his repertoire and has been speaking with the British director about taking on a role in one of his movies.
He said: "Something may be in the pipeline with him but I don't want to talk about it as it might tempt fate."
Plan B - who previously appeared in the crime thriller 'Harry Brown' alongside Sir Michael Caine, as well as the 2008 movie 'Adulthood' -also has ambitions to direct his own film in the future.
He told The Sun newspaper: "On 'Harry Brown' I just wanted to do a good job. Michael's my hero but I didn't bother him, I just got on with it. He came up to me recently at a premiere and said he liked my work, though. That was amazing. My dream is to write and direct. I've got so many ideas."
Plan B - real name Ben Drew - has moved away from his rap roots and reinvented himself as a soul singer on his current LP, but is adamant his fans will enjoy his new direction.
He said: "I'm aware that there are fans out there that might feel alienated by this but I feel like I cater for them, they just don't know it yet. I don't want them to feel like I've forgotten about them - not at all - but they got to remember that I'm a human being and I'm an artist and I need to do what makes me feel happy."
