Piano helps Londoners reclaim the streets
Under the initiative, pianos and ping pong tables have been placed outside key London stations and people are encouraged to have a quick tinkle on the music instrument or a game on the table.
"London can be quite a shy city. This brings some spontaneous fun," Sing London's Kelly O'Reilly told the Guardian.
"We have great spaces in London, but they are usually just used as thoroughfares. Using them to provide unexpected events such as pop ups, which people can engage with, reminds us they are there for the public to use and enjoy," she added.
The schemes are similar to those ran in a number of other European nations and it is hoped that they can expand within the UK to help make the nation's streets more interactive.
It is thought that the community spirit seen during the Olympics may help make such projects more popular.
